flexbar software package provides flexible barcode and adapter removal for sequencing platforms, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install flexbar
flexbar is installed in your system.
Make ensure the flexbar package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep flexbar *
You will get with flexbar package name, version, architecture and description in a table
